Job cards with everything on them
Customer, device type, brand, model, serial or IMEI, reported fault, accessories received, cosmetic condition and the date you promised it back — under an auto-numbered reference like JB-0042.
Android application
Fixbench replaces the paper job register on a repair shop counter. Log the device, the fault, what came with it and when you promised it back; move it down the bench; fit spares from your own stock; hand it over with the warranty clock running. Everything stays on the device.
Who it is for
Mobile and electronics repair, appliance service, computer workshops, bike and scooter shops — anywhere three to twenty-five devices a week come across a counter and someone has to remember whose they are. Fixbench answers the questions a paper register cannot: whose device is this, what was quoted, has the part arrived, when did we promise it, how much is still owed, and is this repair still under our warranty.
Features
Customer, device type, brand, model, serial or IMEI, reported fault, accessories received, cosmetic condition and the date you promised it back — under an auto-numbered reference like JB-0042.
Received, diagnosed, awaiting part, in repair, ready, delivered or returned unrepaired. Every step is stamped, so the card is also a history you can read back.
Estimate against final charge, labour plus parts less discount, advance taken and balance still due — computed as you edit, never typed twice.
Keep your parts in the app with cost, charge-out price and a reorder level. Fitting one to a job takes it out of stock automatically and flags what is running low.
Set the warranty in days per job. The clock starts at handover, and a returning device shows whether the repair you did is still covered.
Every visit, the lifetime spend and what is still owed, searchable by name or phone — entered by hand, never read from your contacts.
A morning board showing what is promised today, what is late and what is waiting to be collected. In-app only — Fixbench sends no notifications and asks for no notification permission.
Full-text search across device, fault, customer and phone; filter by status, device type or technician; then advance, reassign or archive many cards at once, with undo.
Intake and takings per day, the fault patterns that keep repeating, the status mix and how turnaround has trended week by week — all computed on the device.
Working streaks, badges earned from real milestones, and targets for jobs, takings and turnaround with progress rings.
Save the repairs you do often with their usual labour and warranty, then fill a new card from one of them instead of retyping it.
A full JSON backup, job cards and stock as CSV, and a share sheet to send a copy wherever you keep them. Restore replaces the book from any backup this app wrote.
Light and dark themes, four accents, two row densities and your own currency symbol — because a shop's takings mean nothing in the wrong currency.
Permissions and privacy
Fixbench declares exactly one Android permission: INTERNET. It
is used by a single screen — Settings → Privacy policy — which loads this
site's policy page in a web view. Nothing else in the app makes a network
request.
